Dove's Heart

"I love only one, and she is as lovely as a dove.  She is her mother's only daughter, her mother's favorite child." Song of Solomon 6:9

Doves are unique creatures who choose only one mate for life, and therefore are symbols of monogamous love.  Because they lack peripheral vision, and are undistracted from what they focus upon, they are also symbols of devotion.

These characteristics found in doves inspired Anita to design a piece that would represent love and devotion.  Anita was reminded of her friends Doug and Angie Robinson.  Their love has grown from their high school days, even to this day, as a reflection of total commitment to each other.

May the doves in this piece be reminders of commitment that comes from those whose hearts are lovingly devoted.
