Lily of the Valley

"I am the resurrection, and the life; he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet he shall live." John 11:25

The flower, Lily of the Valley, has long been used to symbolize the resurrection and new life.  Our lives without Jesus are spiritually dead until He comes into our broken hearts, and we begin to experience true life.  Because resurrection speaks of newness of life, Anita designed this cross with lilies of the valley within it to symbolize new life after death.  Whether we experience new life now when Jesus comes into our hearts, or later when this life is over, He is still the resurrection, not just at Easter, but He is the Resurrection everyday.
