Forever and Always

“My command is this: love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:12-13

The warm embrace of a friend is a healing balm that penetrates to the heart.

A friend’s joy can soothe the sting of grief or calm the fury of a storm.

A friends joy can be a great strength and an anointing oil of gladness.

A friends hand can reach out and save us from our own weaknesses and doubts.

A friend reminds us of our beauty and worth.

A friend is a devoted listener to our conversations and out silences.

A friend will pray with and for us.

A friend will never leave nor forsake us.

When a friend says “I love you” it is an unconditional commitment that provides a dowry beyond what we could ever ask or imagine.

Oh, to have an earthly friend who could fulfill all these needs would be a priceless treasure. Thank God, that in Christ we can say, “What A Friend We Have In Jesus.” For though we have friends who stand by us faithfully, no one but Jesus can supply all our needs, all the time. Just as Christ is forever, now and throughout eternity, always our friend, so also, are our earthly friends in Christ. For in the spirit, friends in the Lord will Forever and Always be friends.
